My Story

Counselor Educator

With ten years of experience as an educator and as a parent of two children, Sarah approaches mental wellness as a journey toward achieving balance in all aspects of life. Sarah’s goal in therapy is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore and address the emotional, cognitive, and relational patterns that may be impacting your well- being.

Sarah’s therapeutic approach is integrative, combining Emotion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive – Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and Somatic Therapy, alongside additional trauma training. This diverse toolkit allows me to tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of children, adolescent, adults and families.

For individual therapy Sarah blends techniques from CBT, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapy to create a personalized approach that meets your unique needs. For families Sarah uses Emotionally Focused Family therapy to deepen understanding and empathy between family members and support relational healing. Sarah’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge, and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

Sarah provides a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative space for exploring identity and emotions, with the goal of supporting you and your family on your journey toward deeper self-understanding and acceptance.
